Kester - Finance Graduate

Kester joined the Financial Reporting Section of MBDA in Stevenage in September 2004.

"I decided that on a personal level I would rather work in industry than in some large City accountancy firm spending all my life travelling on the M1, and MBDA seemed a very good choice,” says Kester.

Currently nearing the end of his first placement, Kester is looking forward to his next rotation to head office. "I get three rotations, each a year long, to complement my studies for membership of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. The company supports you every step of the way, giving you time off to attend courses at college and to do the exams. There are also opportunities to work abroad but it's difficult to balance your studies with living and working overseas so I prefer to complete my studies in England before taking them up."

"I've found the mentoring scheme very useful and your buddy is there to help you on a day to day basis, and my colleagues and managers have been very friendly and helpful."

"But MBDA isn't just about work, I've used the PASS scheme to sign up for language lessons to brush up my school French."
