Security Requirements

UK defence companies are required to vet all their personnel to an appropriate level. The objective of vetting is to obtain an acceptable level of assurance as to a person's integrity and trustworthiness, and therefore their suitability for employment within the defence industry.

Level of Clearance Required
The required level of clearance for almost all MBDA UK employees and 'embedded' contractors is the SC Clearance. Start of work on site is not normally permitted before an SC clearance has been completed.  In certain circumstances an individual may be allowed to commence employment before the SC clearance has been completed.

A small minority of individuals who work with exceptionally sensitive information also require a higher level of clearance, known as the DV Clearance.
