This shows our current grading structure as described in our job specifications. Click on each level to see a brief description.
UK defence companies are required to vet all their personnel to an appropriate level. The objective of vetting is to obtain an acceptable level of assurance as to a person's integrity and trustworthiness – and therefore their suitability for employment within the defence industry.
Levels of clearance required
The required level of clearance for almost all MBDA UK employees and 'embedded' contractors is the SC Clearance. Start of work on site is not normally permitted before an SC clearance has been completed. In certain circumstances an individual may be allowed to commence employment before full SC clearance has been completed.
A small minority of individuals who work with exceptionally sensitive information also require a higher level of clearance, known as the DV Clearance.
Our can do approach to every problem stands us out from our competition. We encourage every employee to express their opinions and provide personal insight in everything we do. It’s something we take real pride in. It’s our ability to take balanced risks that enables us to deliver simple solutions to our clients.
And by consistently performing as a team, we’re constantly overcoming challenges and maximising opportunities. This is achieved in our cross-functional project teams on an everyday basis, but we also utilise it in our personal development. We support various sports teams and charities and encourage all of our employees to get involved where they can. A work/life balance is something we take very seriously. We believe that by treating our employees as individuals, they’ll not only produce great work, but also develop personally in a far more rewarding way. Our flexible working hours enable our employees to really utilise their free time while feeling like a valued member of the team.
We always deliver our promises, whether it is to the client or to our employees. And we’re proud of people and everything they’ve enabled us to achieve.
