Engineering apprentices study towards a HNC at either Wigan & Leigh College (Lostock Site) or Oaklands College (Stevenage Site) on day release, and work within our business on rotational placements the rest of the week. This unique way of studying allows you to earn an academic and nationally recognised qualification as well as gain hands on learning experience within a professional and friendly workplace. This programme also allows you to study towards an NVQ Level 3 and 4 in Engineering.

Candidates are expected to have a minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths, English and Science at grade C or above, and ideally a design and technology GCSE or the equivalent 240 UCAS points at A-Level. Engineers on our scheme follow a Formal Early Careers Programme recognised by IMechE, IET and SEMTA.

On commencing employment you will attend an interaction event that explains the full scope of what we do and allows you the opportunity to interact with fellow new-starters. You’ll be provided with formal advice and guidance and undertake a range of personal development activities promoting teamwork, communication, presentation and leadership skills.

Four year programme may include:

  • Assembly
  • Electronic Engineering
  • Trials
  • Customer Support
  • Logistics
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Design
