We're looking for a Team Lead for our Integration and Systems Validation (ISV) team.
This role involves spearheading systems integration and validation efforts for digital simulation and experimentation products in a vibrant and expanding sector of the company.
Salary: Circa £57,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3-4 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
Our Weapon System Simulation and Experimentation (WSSE) department bring together real products, models, synthetic environments and people throughout the systems life cycle.
Sitting within WSSE, the ISV Team provide proving best practice and capability to WSSE products right throughout the development cycle, in order to ensure the products are fit-for-purpose and delivery. This includes regular work in the brand new Digital Battlespace Facility, and is often fast-paced covering multiple rapid mini-projects, as well as supporting longer-term products for main projects.
Reporting to the ISV Technical Support Technical Expert (TX) you will manage the delivery of ISV support to all WSSE owned products, mainly:
- Managing the ISV Team to meet the WSSE proving/qualification needs:
- Managing WLF, e.g. input to bids, work allocation, identifying skill/resource gaps
- Line manage members of the ISV in WSSE team, including supporting development, performance management etc.
- Working with Head of WSSE and Head of ISV to aid ISV-WSSE alignment
- Providing ISV best practice to WSSE projects to enable successful design, development & delivery
- Test/Proving Planning: e.g. understand/input to customer needs and the system design/architecture from a proving perspective (including test bed needs), writing test plans and proving instructions.
- Test/Proving Conduct: e.g. regular progressive assurance testing during software development, formal qualification testing, defect investigation, data analysis, external integration with customer/partners.
- Test/Proving Reporting: e.g. regular informal reporting to project lead and stakeholders on software functionality, writing test/analysis reports for formal certification, support to software delivery/release process including certification.
