MBDA Missile Systems - Deliver For A More Secure Tomorrow

Join our Future Battlefield Capability team and work on new weapon system concepts to support the British Army and our European customers. Youll be developing new ideas, new concepts, and identifying novel technology to support our future roadmap.

Day to day youll explore and develop weapon systems architecture using a systems engineering approach. By interfacing with our customers directly, youll identify their future capability needs, conduct investigation on potential solutions, and assess their feasibility as future products.

The role offers real variety and lots of exposure to our customers as well as a broad range of teams across MBDA. The work you do will help shape our future technology development.

What were looking for

  • Technical/ engineering background (ideally with an understanding of weapon systems, military platforms and sub-systems)
  • Youll need to be able to embrace the uncertain nature of early concept development and be able to progress through towards defining solutions and systems concepts
  • It would be beneficial if you had experience working with the British Army
  • Good communicator across all levels and a strong problem solver
  • Ideally some experience in model based systems engineering and associated tools

Training and Development

You’ll be able to choose between a variety of online learning platforms such as Percipio, YouLearn, Career Builder and Video Gateway. Each one is tailored to a specific type of learning. Speak to your line manager to find out more. 

We encourage new learning and will provide up to £150 in financial support per year if you wish to participate in further study in your own time. You’ll have access to our Learning Gateway, which hosts the formal course catalogue and is where you can select the right training for your role and future development. The catalogue displays which courses are being delivered virtually or are classroom based. If you want to lead a team, you might be interested in our management training, designed for people of all experience levels.

Security Clearance

All employees at MBDA are required to hold UK Security or BPSS Clearance. To gain this clearance you are required to meet the government standard for eligibility. If your application to MBDA is successful, we'll need to check your eligibility, which means seeing your birth certificate and/or passport and educational certificates. Security vetting and medical clearance will also be undertaken.
