Investors In Gold People Award

MBDA have received the Investors in People (IiP) Gold Award, remaining in the top 2% of organisations within the UK when it comes to this prestigious accreditation in people management.

Independently judged on nine elements, we have succeeded in being re-awarded our Gold accreditation for Investors in People. Reflecting the latest work based trends and backed by academic research, Investors in People looked at our people management practices and put us through vigorous testing via assessments and randomly selected employee interviews.

With a focus on leading, improving and supporting, the elements on which the judging is based upon contribute to the achievement of organisational objectives:

  • Leading and inspiring people
  • Living the organisation's values and behaviours
  • Empowering and involving people
  • Managing performance
  • Recognising and rewarding high performance
  • Structuring work
  • Building capability
  • Delivering continuous improvement
  • Creating sustainable success

"I am delighted that we have achieved re-accreditation of IiP Gold standard as this confirms the positive working environment we have created in MBDA UK. This is testament to the commitment and team work of our employees, both recent and longer-established, in creating and sustaining a positive working environment that enables our people to contribute to the overall business.

It is equally, a reflection of the investment we continue to make in the development of our employees as well as in the infrastructure of MBDA UK.

For the first time,  we have achieved the Health and Wellbeing IiP standard. This is thanks to all the changes brought in to our Occupational Health service offering, as well as the Health and Wellbeing campaigns  and health surveillance programmes we have in place, that benefit our workforce, as well as our business.

As an external standard, the IiP Gold award confirms MBDA UK as a positive employer and an attractive place for new people to join our existing workforce. Thanks to all those who helped make this achievement happen." - Aileen Randhawa, MBDA UK HR Director
