MBDA Charity Challenge Team donate £20,000 to local charities

As part of the end of year cheer, MBDA donated a total of £20,000 split between charities local to our three main sites in Bristol, Bolton and Stevenage.


Our Bristol Charity Team chose to donate to:


Bath Area Play Project - working in partnership with Southside delivering the early help Family Support & Play Service covering the whole of Bath & North East Somerset


Our Bolton Charity Team donated to three charities:


BackUp North West - provides temporary supported accommodation to people aged 16-25 in Bolton


DIAS - supports those affected by domestic violence and abuse


Dogs for Good  - Provides training assistance dogs to support adults and children with physical disabilities, advice and support to people on how their pet dog can benefit their whole family and training therapy dogs and their specialist handlers to work in communities and schools


Our Stevenage Charity Team donated to ten charities including:


Headway Hertfordshire - working closely with people who have a brain injury, their carers and families


Turning Point – providing support to people with their drug and alcohol use, mental health, offending behaviour, unemployment issues and people with a learning disability


Transitions UK - supports all youth at risk in any situation that they may find themselves


TRACKS austism – specialist early years centre for children with an autistic spectrum condition


SANDS North Herts – supports families of babies who die before, during or soon after birth


Road Victims Trust - supports residents of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire who have been affected by fatal road collisions


Jackie's Drop In Centre – a drop in centre for adults with disabilities


Herts Rape Crisis Centre – provides counselling for survivors of rape and sexual abuse


GEMMS – provides respite care for people with dementia or memory problems and their carers


Crossroads Care Hertfordshire North – provides support for unpaid family carers and the people they care for
