MBDA is the only company capable of designing and producing missile systems to meet the current and future needs of the armed forces over land, sea and air. Through our expertise, we have become a trusted partner to the Ministry of Defence and work closely with the military to ensure that they have the capability they need, in order to protect our freedoms.

In the UK we have a workforce of over 4000 located at our three main sites in Bristol, Bolton and Stevenage - where we design, manufacture, test and maintain our products. Globally, our employees total over 11,000 with sites in France, Italy, Spain, Germany and the USA.

Salaries and Bonus Payments


Your salary is determined based on your skillset and level, your experience and competencies, relativities to other MBDA UK peers performing similar roles, as well as external market conditions.

We review employee salaries as part of our annual salary review process and implement promotions to reflect an individual’s progress in their career.

Our success is dependent on every individual’s contribution to MBDA UK. We want to encourage you to fulfil your potential and share in that success. As such, we have in place a Bonus Scheme based on different criteria and dependant on grade.


Depending on your grade, you may be eligible for additional payments such as Overtime, Travel Time and shift premiums.

Annual Leave

Employees receive 25 days of paid annual leave per calendar year, in addition to all statutory and public holidays. This increases to 26 days after 10 years of service and 27 days after 30 years.

Flexible Working

For non-executive employees, we have a Flexi-time scheme that allows you to choose, within certain parameters, when you start and finish each day and how you can use time you have accrued. If you have worked the time, you are also able to accrue and take up to 15 days of Flexi-leave per annum, in addition to the 25 days of annual leave provided and bank holidays.

Enhanced Parental Leave

Eligible employees taking maternity, adoption or shared parental leave can take up to 52 weeks of leave. This includes up to 18 weeks of enhanced pay, paid at 100% of their average earnings.

Season Ticket Loans

Commuting to work on public transport? Spread the cost of your season ticket loan over a 12 month period and have the payments deducted directly through payroll.
