MBDA a finalist in Bolton News Business Awards 2023

We are delighted to share our shortlisting for two award categories in the Bolton News Business Awards 2023.

The judges have selected us for the Apprenticeships, Training and Skills Award and the Innovation Award.

The Apprenticeships, Training & Skills Award recognises that we have successfully conducted such programmes as an integral part of developing our workforce and providing such opportunities for the next generation around our Bolton site.

Our business is committed to apprenticeships. Apprentices make up around 5% of our UK workforce. Each year, hundreds start their careers with us this way, and with an increase expected this year, this number continues to grow. Our tailored programmes address skills gaps across our business, and their positive impact is widely recognised.

The Innovation Award recognises businesses that have launched the most innovative new product/service or developed or adopted new technology to drive their business forward.

Innovation is at the very heart of MBDA. More than a strategy, innovation is one of our core values. Our Innovation Lab is where any employee can participate and propose a breakthrough technology idea to become a supported and funded project. Our Innovation Awards are the pinnacle of recognition of innovation in our business. We have also recently launched Smart Visions, our intrapreneurship programme to turn our employees’ innovative business ideas into reality.

All the Bolton News Business Awards 2023 winners will be announced at a ceremony on 21st September. Fingers crossed!
