For the second year running, MBDA has been named a top 15 Great British Employer of Veterans.

This accolade comes as part of The Forces in Business Awards 2025, in which we also have three MBDA colleagues as finalists in individual categories.

Finalists Revealed for the 2026 British Forces in Business Awards

Finalists have been revealed for the 2026 British Forces in Business Awards, including the top 15 UK employers on the Great British Employers of Veterans list that will be fully revealed in June, in conjunction with the awards ceremony.

This is the ninth year of these awards, recognising the individuals and organisations shaping high-impact civilian careers after military service.

Air Marshal Steve Shell (Retd), CEO of SSAFA, official charity partner of the Awards, said:

“The Forces in Business Awards highlight the absolute best that the partnership of Armed Forces community and business offer. Those nominated have made a successful transition from the Armed Forces and act as role models for others, and therefore deserve our praise.

“I also commend the Forces Friendly employers on the shortlist because these businesses see the potential and opportunities offered by reservists and veterans. SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity, is a trusted source of support for when the Forces family needs help, and we’re extremely proud to again be the official charity partner of these Awards.”

MBDA named as a leading employer of veterans

MBDA is proud to have been featured in several years of the awards, including featuring in the top 15 employers both this year (2026) and last year.

According to the Ex Forces in Business website, the 50 GREAT British Employers of Veterans annual publication “serves as a trusted, in-depth guide for veterans, reservists and their families looking to build meaningful civilian careers.”

Employers are scored on a range of criteria, such as representation, policies, development and engagement activities. It is judged by a panel of ex-military personnel within successful businesses themselves.

Currently MBDA is known to be a ‘top 15’ employer in the 2026 publication, and so has been invited as a finalist to the Ex Forces in Business Awards at the end of June, when the overall winner will be announced; after which the full list will also be published.

Celebrating our Veteran Employees & Allies

This year’s individual awards categories had over 1,000 nominations, so we are especially proud of our MBDA employees who secured finalist spots in some of the 2026 awards.

The shortlisted nominees include:

·         Shaun Enever – Business Leader of the Year

·         Reece Bell – Reservist of the Year

·         Jerry Woods – Role Model of the Year

Each individual has made numerous and valuable contributions towards improving life at MBDA for Reservists and ex-military employees; whether through the Armed Forces Community, policy change, or dedicated recruitment activities. We will reveal more about each nomination after the winners have been announced at the end of June.

The full list of UK nominees can be found on the Forces in Business website.

We wish all our MBDA finalists the best of luck in their categories!
