MBDA introduces a new Reflection Room to support employee wellbeing
At MBDA, we recognise that working on critical projects requires focus, resilience, and balance. That’s why we continue to invest in initiatives that help our people feel supported — both professionally and personally.
As part of our investment in our Bristol site, we have introduced a new reflection room to enhance our colleagues’ workday. It’s a calm, inclusive space designed to support mental health and wellbeing, helping everyone feel respected, valued, and able to thrive.
Nick Gooch, our Bristol Site Manager, said: “I’m really proud to support the introduction of a reflection room here in Bristol. An inclusive, supportive space is a key part of the even more positive workplace environment that we aspire to. This room is a small but meaningful step in helping employees feel more comfortable, supported and able to thrive at MBDA. I'm looking forward to seeing how it’s used and learning from the feedback.”

The reflection room is open to all MBDA employees based in Bristol, as well as those visiting from other sites–it is not limited to any specific group. The intent is to support mental health and wellbeing for all our employees by providing a calming environment with sensory elements that help individuals relax, recharge, and reset.
With sensory elements and a peaceful atmosphere, the space offers a quiet environment to recharge, refocus and reset. It can also help enhance concentration, improve communication and support overall wellbeing.
By supporting these aspects of wellbeing, we want to create the conditions for our teams to feel more motivated and perform at their best. Leading to improved results and a healthier, more sustainable workplace.
The reflection room is the result of collaboration between our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Facilities Management teams. There was also additional support from our Occupational Health and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) teams, as well as our Neurodiversity, Parents and Carers and Menopause Matters employee networks.
