MBDA has been shortlisted as one of the Top 15 Great British Employer of Veterans, as part of The Forces in Business Awards 2025.

In addition to our recognition as an employer, we are also proud to announce that a number of MBDA employees are finalists for individual awards, with winners due to be announced at the upcoming awards event in June.

A Top 15 Great British Employer of Veterans

Today (20th May), MBDA has been named as one of the Top 15 employer of veterans in the UK, with our exact ranking due to be revealed on 26th June 2025, as part of The Ex Forces in Business Awards event. MBDA is up against employers from across the UK, who each had to submit details of the work, policies and communities we do in relation to supporting veteran employment.

"Employers are scored based on a series of areas demonstrating their commitment to the Armed Forces community, including representation, policies, development and engagement activities, with a judging panel of successful veterans in business assessing the qualitative information provided. The result is a definitive ranking of the top 50 employers of veterans and other members of the Armed Forces community in the UK."  (Ex Forces in Business website, 2025)

Speaking as Chair of the Armed Forces Community - an employee-led internal community at MBDA made up of veterans and supportive colleagues - Business Development Executive, Bill Beaumont said:

"We are incredibly proud to have made the Top 15 employers in these awards. It is testament to the continuous work of both veterans in the business, and the huge number of colleagues that support us, in creating a culture and workplace that both welcomes and directly supports ex-military personnel and active Reservists."

While the exact rankings are yet to be revealed for 2025, in 2024 MBDA placed 27th, so a Top 15 placement is already an welcomed improvement.

Celebrating our Veteran Employees & Allies

The annual Forces in Business Awards is also a celebration of individual employees from UK organisations who have gone the extra mile to make life better for ex-military personnel in their workplaces. These individuals are nominated by colleagues and then shortlisted by a panel of peers.

The shortlist of MBDA nominees includes:

 ·        Bill Beaumont - Reservist of the Year

·         Lee Gough - Reservist of the Year

·         Steve Dignum - Advocate of the Year

Each individual has made numerous and valuable contributions towards improving life at MBDA for Reservists and ex-military employees; whether through the Armed Forces Community, policy change, or dedicated recruitment activities. We will reveal more about each nomination after the winners have been announced at the end of June.

The full list of UK nominees can be found on the Forces in Business website.

We wish all our MBDA finalists the best of luck in their categories!
