MBDA x Code First Girls - Three Unique Journeys

MBDA is proud to partner with Code First Girls to provide opportunities for women wanting to re-train and switch to a career within Software Engineering. In this blog we hear from three MBDA employees about their own unique journeys.
Code First Girls x MBDA
Code First Girls is a social impact organisation dedicated to transforming tech by providing the skills, space and inspiration for women to become developers, data scientists, and future leaders across a range of industries globally.
Trainees undertake Software skills courses alongside their existing employment, with companies sponsoring them through their learning. Once individuals ‘graduate’, they are then offered placements / work with their employer sponsor.
As a company which is always looking to promote inclusivity and help improve diversity in STEM professions, for MBDA, partnering with Code First Girls was a logical choice. Soon, we will have welcomed almost 20 new starters across our sites in Stevenage, Bristol and Bolton; all in the two years since launching the scheme.
Below you can hear directly from three of those women who have successfully completed their CFG training and embedded themselves within our Software teams.
Chloe's Story
Chloe moved to Software from a career as a teacher. Find out what and who inspired her to make the change, and the differences Chloe now has in terms of work-life balance and more.

Hannah's Story
