Menopause Matters
Monday 23 February 2026
Menopause is a natural life stage that can affect every day wellbeing and confidence in the workplace. Creating psychologically safe workplaces benefits everyone.
Why menopause support matters
At MBDA, menopause support matters because we’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone affected by menopause feels heard, supported and respected. Through open conversations, practical support and confident leadership, we’re making menopause part of everyday inclusion.
“I was unsure if I had symptoms of menopause and attended one of the Menopause Matters Network lunch time drop-in sessions. They introduced me to the symptoms tracker which enabled me to confidently ask my doctor for help.
I’ve seen significant improvements to my day-to-day life and I really value the continued support I receive from the network. My experiences have since encouraged me to become a member of the Network, so that I can now help others like myself.”

Employee-led support
Menopause Matters is our employee-led network at MBDA. This group regularly runs menopause awareness events throughout the year to drive awareness and to educate and support colleagues. A recent employee survey showed that 86% of respondents would recommend MBDA as a menopause friendly employer.

Where we are going next
We are working on building the confidence of our people managers in supporting employees through menopause awareness sessions and developing menopause e-learning for all. Recently we have published guidance for users of our Workplace Adjustments Passport for menopause symptoms to make it more user friendly.
We are raising awareness of the wide range of existing menopause resources available to support employees, such as the Menopause Toolkit in our Champion Health app, as well as support available through our employee assistance programme.
After successfully piloting a reflection room in Bristol, we are planning to open more reflection rooms at our other sites. We are reviewing processes to make implementing workplace adjustments quicker and easier, such employees as being able to order a desk fan through our IT self-ordering system.
All of these steps combine to be part of MBDA’s journey towards ‘Menopause Friendly’ accreditation in 2026; we are committed to learning, being accountable and setting standards equal or above our peers externally.
At MBDA UK, diversity, equality and inclusion are essential. We are committed to ensuring we have an inclusive working environment where everyone can thrive and realise their full potential. Find out more about our other commitments to ED&I on our Belonging pages.
