Women in Engineering Session - 11AM
As an inclusive employer that continually strives to do better, we are committed to developing a workplace in which every person can achieve their potential.
As part of our open day we are offering you the opportunity to hear from three of our incredible female engineers about their careers and experiences of life at MBDA UK.
We expect this session to last around 45 minutes, with the opportunity after the event to talk to our speakers, recruiters, or hiring managers at the broader careers open day event.
If you wish to attend this session, please select 'yes' on the relevant question in the registration form below.
- NB. Whilst the Women in Engineering session is open to everyone, we would like to prioritise attendance for women, due to limited venue capacity.
About MBDA Stevenage
As a leading defence company in Europe, we are proud to design and manufacture missiles and missile systems used to protect the UK and its allies. We provide products and services to each branch of the armed forces, working in partnership with the MOD, our European MBDA companies, and other defence manufacturers towards common goals.
Stevenage is our largest and most diverse site in the UK, with a real ‘campus feel' to it. In addition to a wide variety of labs, testing facilities and offices, we have an on-site gym, secure parking, and heavily subsidised eateries, serving delicious hot and cold food. You will even find umbrellas by the doors to keep you dry on your stroll to our atrium cafe!
Situated a few minutes' walk from Stevenage train station, and moments from the A1(M), our site is an easy commute from numerous places, including London, the Midlands, Cambridgeshire and more. With most roles offering hybrid-working options, there's a good chance you'll only need to travel from home to site a few days a week anyway!
Opportunities for Experienced Professionals
Before registering, we recommend you view our Stevenage job vacancies to help you understand the types and numbers of vacancies we have available.
As a weapons manufacturer, we primarily need people with experience in Engineering (Design / Systems/ Electronic / Mechanical), Manufacturing Operations, and physics. These STEM / technical experts account for almost 70% of our workforce in the UK.
We are also happy to speak to people about our opportunities in other areas of the business such as Procurement, Finance, HR and IT, to name a few.
We are always looking to expand and diversify at MBDA, as we know that a diverse workplace helps foster collaboration and innovation. As long as you have the passion and technical expertise, then we want to hear from you, regardless of your industry background. We are proud to be an inclusive employer and we welcome and encourage applicants from all backgrounds.
Early Career Programmes
As an employer committed to job training opportunities, we also offer a wide variety of Early Careers entry routes, including graduate schemes, apprenticeships and more. Members of our Early Careers Recruitment team, as well as current scheme members will be on hand to discuss our range of programmes.
Our 2027 entry programmes are currently live, so make sure to explore these in more detail on this site before attending our event, and come prepared with any questions!
