An exciting opportunity to join MBDA UK's dynamic Sales & Business Development organisation as the Win Team Leader for MBDA UK's bids and campaigns for Hypersonic Weapon Systems and associated technologies!
Salary: Up to £90,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2 - 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
This role is pivotal in establishing MBDA UK, the nation's Complex Weapon provider, as a thought leader and strategic partner that can aid the customer in its thinking around hypersonics to find a mutually beneficial way forward.
A key challenge is to be able to champion, influence and deliver value to MBDA and the UKMoD customer in the area of hypersonics weapons for which UKMoD has a vision and promising technologies but does not yet have a clear demand signal/requirements from military end users.
Customer Focused Relationships – build and maintain strong, trusting and productive long-term relationships and dialogue; understand customer aspiration, constraints and needs as well as effectively conveying MBDA's perspective. Articulate customers' voice within the business.
Strategy – continue to develop and implement MBDA UK's Hypersonics business Strategy (considering both long term direction/ global ambitions of the company and short-term imperatives). Aim is to deliver battle winning capability by growing our UK competences and through a partnering approach with UKMoD.
Leadership/ Team-Working – provide leadership to Bid Teams and Campaigns including clear common understanding of vision, strategy and solution, balancing the requirements of different campaign elements with that of the business and the customer. Display and encourage positive behaviours, motivating the team to achieve its goals and utilising people effectively.
Collaborative Working – establish and maintain an appropriate collaborative approach with our industrial partners and supply chain where shared vision, strategy and goals for campaigns or bids are agreed in an open, transparent and win/win manner.
Within the Concepts and Technology team you will work with a talented, proactive group of people who lead the business development aspects of a wide range of existing and new concepts and technology areas that are being matured to pull through to exploitation into military capability. Members of the team are encouraged to take their own initiative in driving their areas of responsibility forward and this is with the full support and help from others in the team and with backing of senior management.

Desirable experience includes:
- Knowledge & experience of missile systems business and industry and a credible technical understanding of MBDA products and programmes
- Understanding and experience of dealing with UKMoD customer community, organisation and processes
- Experience or background in Technical systems/ engineering/ technology development, business management or commercial (contracting)
- Understanding of Complex Weapons and/or Hypersonic
