Job Title: Business Support Specialist– Missile Design
Salary: Circa £32,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: Working 2-3 days a week onsite with a flexible/blended approach to office and remote working.
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

Working as a Business Support Specialist (BSS) in a friendly and supportive team, you will undertake specific responsibilities to support, prioritise and coordinate effective and efficient technical administrative support to MBDA's Missile Design team based at our Stevenage site.
What you will be doing:
- Will be based in our Stevenage office with the flexibility to travel to other UK sites
- To support the Missile Design team with project and technical administration with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Generate and maintain a close working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
- Document control/management: e.g. maintenance of registers, milestone tracking, facilities tracking and utilisation, process management
- Reporting: finance spend reports, SAP reports and collation and action of review comments
- Coordinate and support the Workload Forecast process – collation and input
- Support with supplier contracts (Offload) and resourcing support activities
- Generate and input information into tracking tools
- Procurement and Finance support: raising purchase orders, invoicing, supplier engagement, Capital application (CAPEX) tracking and collation
- Management, collation and distribution of general review outputs / actions / observations
- Provide local expertise in key IT based applications and databases and provide technical support/training to the Missile Design team
- Support the continuous improvement to delivery, process and behaviours within Missile Design UK
- Management of the intranet and supporting with promotional documents
- To be a key member within the UK Support Function and participate in engagement activities
- Sharing best practice and knowledge within the UK Support Function and offering guidance and training to team members
- Participation and progress on UK Support Function personal development initiatives to be accountable for own self-learning and development
- Any other adhoc technical administration duties

- Can demonstrate a high ability to collate data, analyse and present findings in an engaging manner
- Someone that is forward thinking, who looks to improve efficiencies in working practices, processes and engagement activities
- Can demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Microsoft packages and an ability to identify, implement and utilise specialist tools and software to streamline tasks
- A professional demeanour in all situations and be able to withhold confidential information
- A meticulous approach to tasks, with a positive attitude, ability to multi-task, be proactive and accountable
- It is essential that the post holder undertakes the extensive duties with flexibility, initiative and enthusiasm and operates as an integral part of the team
- Willingness to learn and extend the role above and beyond the job description
