Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The Engineering Design Capabilities Team is responsible for providing comprehensive business user support and driving the capability roadmaps in a wide range of Design IT systems across the engineering communities.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team to represent the business in providing user support on the implementation, take-up and future evolutions of Electronic Computer Aided Engineering Tools. The Lead Support role for Electronic Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools involves overseeing the business operational support, technical specialism and maintenance of ECAD software used in both electronic & electrical design. This role encompasses guiding a team, resolving technical issues, ensuring quality, and contributing to the overall efficiency of CAD-related processes.
What we're looking for from you:
Proficiency in Electronic or Electrical CAD Software: Strong expertise in Electronic PCB / Schematics design CAD software, or similar tools used for electrical interconnects design.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of engineering principles, design standards, and the application of best practices.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to trouble-shoot complex technical issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions within a team.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with users, stakeholders, and management.
Leadership and Mentorship: Ability to guide and support a team, provide training, and foster a collaborative environment.
Project Management: Understanding of project management principles and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
