Job Title: Finance Manager – Bids, Contracts and Evaluation Team
Salary: Circa £62,000 - £75,000, depending upon experience
Location: Stevenage
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
The Bids, Contracts and Evaluation (BCE) team are a specialist and independent Team within MBDA's Finance department. We are seeking to recruit a Finance Manager to take a lead role in the independent review and analysis of bids and other proposals. You will be facilitating internal approvals and providing support to subsequent contract negotiations.
You will be operating in a dynamic and stimulating environment, in a role that provides an unprecedented insight into MBDA's strategic business direction through involvement in the various business case proposals and sales campaigns. Propositions will include both UK Domestic and Export sales opportunities, and cover the whole life cycle of products within MBDA. (Assessment Phase, Development, Manufacturing and Customer Service Support).
What we're looking for from you:
You will quickly become recognised by the organisation as an expert and valued adviser in the process leading up to submission to Approval Committees
Ability to maintain a robust working relationship with the Sales and the Programme Teams at National Company and Group level to ensure the views / requirements of Finance are represented in any business analysis.
Maintaining and further developing business critical skills within the team and managing staff development and turnover within a changing business environment
Prior experience of costing and/or pricing methodologies in long term contracts is an advantage
Ability to interface with and influence Business leads at all levels in MBDA
