We're looking for an energetic and proactive HR Advisor to join our team in an exciting period of site expansion and headcount growth. The role we are recruiting for is initially a 12 month fixed-term contract. This role is perfect for someone with HR experience who thrives on variety, enjoys solving problems, and wants to make a real difference to the employee experience.
You'll be the first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries across our Bolton site, supporting managers and colleagues with clear, practical advice. You'll work closely with the HR People Lead to roll out people initiatives, upskill our managers, and embed a great culture across our manufacturing teams.

Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 4 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The Opportunity
• You will act as a key point of contact for HR queries from managers and colleagues, providing timely and accurate advice on policies, processes, and best practice.
• Supporting the HR People Lead in delivering people projects, including engagement initiatives, culture programmes, and manager development activities.
• Partner with managers to build their confidence in handling employee relations matters, absence management, and performance conversations.
• Use HR systems to maintain accurate data, produce reports, and identify trends to improve ways of working.
• Coordinate the logistics for training sessions, employee engagement activities, and HR events at our Bolton site.
• Support continuous improvement of HR processes, suggesting ideas to streamline and simplify.
• Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and company policies in all day-to-day activities.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
• Has experience in an HR advisory role — ideally in a Manufacturing or logistics environment.
• Understands UK employment law basics and can give clear, practical advice to managers.
• Enjoys being the "go-to" person for queries and can explain policies in a people-friendly way.
• Is comfortable using HR systems and Excel to manage data and spot patterns.
• Thrives in a busy environment, juggling multiple priorities and staying organised.
• Has a proactive mindset, looking for ways to improve processes and employee experience.
• Is approachable, a good listener, and able to build trust with colleagues at all levels.
Person Specification (Experience & Qualifications):
- Ideally CIPD qualified (Level 3 or above).
- Demonstrable experience in a generalist HR role in a Manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in HR Systems and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Powerpoint).
