Salary: Circa £35,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 5 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
To provide a professional and proactive administrative support service to the Thurleigh site, and an additional point of contact for the Thurleigh site.
Duties include:
- Support the Thurleigh Site Manager in the smooth running of the site
- Co-ordinate site visitors and inducting them on to site, including managing all site bookings for areas and desks
- Ensure that visiting teams have the local support and facilities that they need
- Provide support to Site Security operations
- Coordinate site supplies of general tools & consumables
- Load & unload goods vehicles by fork lift
- Ensure that goods movements are recorded appropriately
- Coordinate contractors assigned to carry out maintenance and repairs
The MBDA Thurleigh site is located in a peaceful part of the North Bedfordshire countryside and has a unique combination of facilities, no two days are the same. Facilities include indoor and outdoor space in which MBDA teams can carry out all manner of research, development, testing, proving and demonstrations on all types of equipment.
What we're looking for from you:
- Good level of experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Experience of working in a support function across a range of support and administrative activities
- Good written and verbal communication skills using accurate spelling and grammar
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Self-motivation and ability to adapt to changing environment and evolving technologies
- First Aid trained [training will be provided]
- Fork lift driving Class B1 [training will be provided]
- Managing IOSH desirable
