Our Graduate Programmes start September each year and last two years; after which you will progress to a role within the department you joined.

The starting Salary is £26,500. Pay reviews take place twice per year whilst on the scheme.You will receive a Joining Bonus of £2000 if you have a Bachelor’s Degree or £2500 if you have a Masters.  This is paid in full in your first months’ pay; perfect for helping with the expenses of relocating.

All Graduates will receive Business, Technical and Personal Development training throughout the two years that set the foundation for your future career.

• Interaction: A 3 day course in Stevenage to meet interact with Apprentices & Graduates from all our UK sites.  Gain an overview of MBDA’s business, its customers and a deeper understanding of the programme.
• Graduate Residential: A five day residential programme designed to develop the awareness and skill in eight subjects including influencing, communication, project management and presenting.
• Foundation in Project Management: Introduces the MBDA Project Management framework and key principles
• Technical Foundation Course: Introduces those on the Engineering schemes to the lifecycle of our products as well as the processes and technologies that enable the company to design and manufacture missile systems.
• Career Development Workshop: Helps graduates to take ownership of their career development and design a career path suited to them.

Simulation & Modelling, Bristol

The Simulation and Modelling team define, develop and maintain complex mathematic models which are used for multiple applications including performance modelling and auto-coding algorithms for component software. As a graduate on this programme you will work in a variety of areas such as the development of large dynamic system models, performing technical analysis & investigations and using models to support the system development process.

Supportability Engineer, Stevenage

The Customer Support and Services team is responsible for the support of MBDA products across the world, ensuring that the armed forces have the capability they need, where and when they need it. As a graduate on this programme, you will work in a variety which include ensuring that products are designed to be readily supported and once they are delivered, providing maintenance, refurbishment and technical support.

Software, Bolton

The Software Engineering team work with numerous programming languages, software tools and software lifecycle methodologies to ensure MBDA are able to provide some of the world’s most advanced missile systems. As a graduate on this programme you will work on a variety of development stages within the weapon systems which include both embedded and front end software development on a range of platforms, utilising C, C++ and Java. There will also be opportunities to travel and to work abroad for 6 months – a year.

Safety and Reliability Engineer, Stevenage

The safety and reliability engineering team work  to influence the safety and reliability aspects of our technically complex and challenging products. 

In this role you will understand and experience good safety and reliability practices and learn how to optimise the effort devoted to these activities.   This will include a focus on balancing safety against the inherently lethal attributes required of complex weapon systems.
