The opportunity:
Following a recent company re-organisation MBDA's UK Procurement function has introduced a ‘Governance and Performance' team to support the function's drive to deliver excellence to our customers by ensuring robust governance, performance management and compliance across all of our Procurement activities. Your primary role will be to act as the project manager for Procurement UK Contract Life Cycle Management tool selection and implementation focusing on:
- Using strong stakeholder management skills to understand what the various functions in Procurement UK need from this tool, manage expectations and maintain alignment between the various procurement teams, legal operations, and technical deployment teams.
- Supporting the development of the Procurement requirements for the tool to enable supplier proposals to be requested along with actively reviewing these submissions against the needs of the function.
- Review and testing of the offered solutions to ensure that procurement realities and commercial workflows are integrated into the new CLM solution.
- Proactively research and map out existing contracting structures to ensure the tool's deployment addresses real-world business bottlenecks.
- Developing the appropriate user guides and training to support roll out and implementation to the wider function.
You will also support the wider Governance and Performance UK function by contributing to broader change management, compliance, and functional improvement initiatives as required.
What we‘re looking for from you:
You do not need to be a technical systems implementation expert; instead, we are looking for a proactive self-starter with a good supply chain or commercial knowledge who can gather and analyse business needs, manage critical stakeholders, and project manage this activity to ensure the new tool aligns with practical procurement operations.
- Solid experience working within a commercial, procurement or supply chain function (ideally in a regulated business sector), with an understanding of commercial contract structures, legal operations, risk management, and the full contract negotiation lifecycle.
- A results-oriented approach with the proactivity to drive projects to completion.
- An excellent business stakeholder manager with a proven ability to build national and international relationships, influence cross-functional teams, and align diverse business interests.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present concepts in a clear and structured way.
- A natural researcher who can independently investigate current procurement workflows, gather user requirements, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Experience creating structured training playbooks or user guides from scratch.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of SAP would be beneficial.
- Willingness to travel to UK and non-UK sites as required.
