An exciting role for an experienced and delivery focussed Engineer to join the Missile Architecture function.
Job Title: Design Support to Production Architect
Salary: Circa £65,000 depending on experience
Location: Stevenage
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
The Missile Architecture function has an interesting role for an experienced Engineer to lead the design support activities and budget within a missile project team. As a key member of the team you will play a crucial role in ensuring delivery on time, on cost, and on quality for Manufacturing/Delivery milestones. You'll be working with a high performing team of Architects to support design improvements and aid in manufacture.
Your expertise will be invaluable as you manage complex work breakdown structures and associated budgets and provide expertise and advice on both project strategic direction and emergent, tactical issues.
Alongside this you will also be provide support to MA function's continuous improvement including enhanced ways of working and preparation for our future (specifically rapid response to production issues and production rate increase).
What we're looking for from you:
Significant experience of supporting manufacture, MBDA product knowledge and MBDA ways of working
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods and operations desirable
- Significant budgetary control and task delegation experience essential
- Proven leadership skills and a willingness to be held responsible for objective delivery
- Well-developed stakeholder management skills; capable of forging and maintaining relationships and influencing at all levels
- Delivery-focused with a passion to achieve success
- Application of appropriate personal behaviours including self-motivation, initiative, leadership, adaptability, planning and organisation.
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience in Aerospace Engineering with significant relevant working experience
