Flight Trials Lead role within Integration and Missile Validation (IMV) on an international Programme
Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

An exciting opportunity has emerged on an established international project, to lead a variety of flight trials activities in support of domestic and international customers in the UK and abroad.
The Opportunity:
As Flight trials lead you would report directly into the Chief Systems Proving Engineer and be responsible for delivery, coordination and management of all flight trial support for domestic and international campaigns and planning, driving strategy and managing upcoming flight and firing trials in support of the Mid life upgrade programme.
Although a lead role this position comes with opportunities to travel and provide hands on support to firing trials in UK and overseas. For the right candidate there is an opportunity to build and lead a small team delivering critical capability in support of missile development.
As part of the Project team you would have the opportunity to work on an exciting, high performance product and to develop and broaden your technical skills by working within a dynamic proving team. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to work collaboratively with other areas of MBDA and the international customer community.
What we're looking for from you:
High performing teams need high performing and competent individuals. Individuals will be able to demonstrate a number of the following attributes:
- Experience of working on Firing trials (ideally Air).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to lead a team.
- A keen interest and proven record of developing others.
- Experience of trials clearance processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with external range and facility suppliers
- A good understanding of Verification processes and procedures
- Work package management skills (work package planning, risk management) and an ability to operate within budget, timescale and resource constraints.
- Be able to communicate across the internal functions and customer community
