Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 4-5 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

You will play a leading role in a range of Engineering activities, providing Test Equipment design support to the Manufacturing organization and broadening your expertise in an international environment. For this role, you will be prepared to work autonomously at our Henlow site, whilst being a part of the wider Test Equipment Centre of Excellence in Stevenage, Bristol and Bolton, leading the delivery of your work assignments, and actively engaging with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of your outputs.
What we're looking for from you:
- Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) with experience of designing product/systems and/or providing support to designs through the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle.
- Proven experience in the design of one or more of the following disciplines:-
- Test Systems
- Digital and Analogue electronics
- Power Electronics
- RF & Antenna
- Interconnects
- Safety Electronics
- Excellent verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the capability to write clear and concise engineering documentation.
- Responsive and pro-active under pressure. Many of the support to manufacturing activities are time-critical and require dedication through to resolution.
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team, with an awareness of the challenges and opportunities that this may bring and a passion for innovation and collaboration.
- Investigative skills to be able to find Root Causes of design related issues and propose robust Corrective Actions.
You'll manage discreet work packages preparing bids, controlling costs and delivering solutions so evidence of experience in supporting manufacturing and resolving manufacturing issues is an advantage, but not essential.
Finally, we are looking for someone who has a record of accomplishment of on-time delivery along with good verbal and written communication skills.
